QR Codes

A FREE QR Code will be sent to you via email that will take the viewer to the virtual tour's web address that you can put on your flyer or on a sticker on the flyer box.

This is MCVT's QR Code.

What is a QR Code? Users with a camera phone equipped with the correct reader application can scan a QR Code. Once the code is scanned and processed, it takes you directly to the URL on your device, or shows you whatever else was encoded. This act of linking from physical world objects is known as a hardliner or physical world hyperlinks. You can create your own QR Code in different colors here.

So how are QR Codes useful?

  • Providing convenient, additional information: Attach your QR codes, that you print on Avery Stickers, to your sign riders and flyer boxes. Even if you run out of printed flyers, tech-savvy consumers can still load your information via their smart phones with only a few clicks.
  • Winning more listings: Just like with any other new, emerging technologies, you can showcase your marketing and tech savviness to your prospective sellers. For example, you can demonstrate a QR code at a listing interview which will show how easily you can display information about yourself and their listing. If I were the seller, I would be impressed for sure.

Possible Problems:

  • You must trust a web based company to make a QR Code for you.
    • How do you know what they are generating is accurate unless you download the QR Code Reader into your phone and test it.
    • A QR Code can send someone to any web site or say anything if you do not check it first before you publish it.
  • How do you know these companies are not selling your information to a third party, who could be using this to violate your privacy.
  • Once you publish a QR Code, just like anything on the Internet, everyone can view it.

If you want a QR Code on your Virtual Tour please send it to MCVT via email. It will be displayed on the detail's page. Normally these codes are needed only when no other source of information can be found about you or your listings. Other virtual tour providers are selling QR Codes. MCVT is telling you how to do this for FREE.
